Keith Wingfield Because it is electric guitar, its easy to like. The first time I listened, it immediately took me to a place in my mind that reflected on my life. The song's mellow beginnings, and transition into the bluesy, gutsy solo, followed by the driving licks somehow said to me, "no matter where you've been, hope springs eternal." Favorite track: Watching For The New Jerusalem Post (To Show Up At My Door).

about

I came up in a generation that greatly reveres our musical heroes and for me as a guitarist, their influence is embedded in my own artistic DNA going all the way back to my early childhood when following one of his concerts, Johnny Cash happened to walk by and gave me a pat on the head as he went on his way, leaving me to think " that's who I want to be like when I grow up". From that point forward, through the rich baritone guitar solo at the end of Galveston by Glen Campbell, the crying Strat of David Gilmour, the lighting fast histrionics of Eric Johnson and a long list of other influences, for me, reflecting their impact on my music is like breathing and "The Stuff Of Legends" is one big musical exhale.

As you, my listening audience take it all in, you will notice that most of these songs are expressed primarily through my slide guitar playing and peppered with moments of shredding when called for. One might even consider this a change of direction from the metal approach I'm most known for. I would tend to think that everything prior has been progressing up to this album. So be forewarned, there are melodies that will linger long after the song has ended and will summon you back to hear it again and again. Slide guitar has a way of stirring your emotions like that. I think your really going to like this!

Welcome to my world of Progressive Slide Guitar!
